The perks of being captain of a hockey team are most pronounced when it comes time to hand out the hardware at the end of a gruelling, but ultimately satisfying season.
In the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) this season, that honour was bestowed upon Whitby defenceman Justin Lemcke, whose Hamilton Bulldogs upset the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds in six games and earned their way to the 2018 Memorial Cup national championship in Regina.
